It is an alternative holiday, a chance to explore yourself, invest in yourself through a daily practice of mindful movement. Creating awareness in your minds and bodies, our busy lives can be quite chaotic, lets slow down. This is a great opportunity to re-balance, re-evaluate your life and de-clutter your mind. Maybe even consider a digital detox! Its a chance to spend more time with yourself or enjoy making new like minded friends.

Cash is best as Greece still has austerity measures.  This means that they are limited as to how much cash they can take out of their own bank accounts daily! ATM machines are plentiful in the town.

They hold Greek lunches in the North East prior to your retreat and will send you an invite.  This is a great chance to not only meet them but the others travelling on your chosen week. Also if you have any other questions they will be more than happy to help you. Past retreaters are there too so your can hear first hand stories of their experiences.

You can arrange a telephone or a Skype call too if you wish, just drop them a request.

During the first 48hrs there is plenty to do, as the planned trips that are part of your package happen, but of course they are optional.
After that, your day starts with Pilates at 8.30am followed by Breakfast/Brunch at 10.00am. If you choose to do an extra optional ‘Culture and Cuisine’ trip they start at midday and end around 7.00 – 8.00pm Greek time!
If however you prefer to slow right down, you have everything you need where you stay, a pool, a hot tub, quiet places to read and all in the most idyllic environment.
Yes a ball and a band is required for your class, these can be purchased from Gill prior to your retreat.  They are light and easily carried and you will be taught how to use them for your home practice on your return.

Our Cretan home is adults only. As long as you are mobile, able to get up and down from the mat and with a young at heart attitude you are welcome.

Yes, this started out with just women, but over the years more men have been coming and this has led to them starting a regular practice at home.

Yes it’s perfectly fine to drink the tap water. If however you prefer bottled water, we take you on a supermarket run on the first day where you can pick up all your need.
Yes – you have a therapy with the in-house therapist which is part of your package with a chance to re-book.  She is excellent and offers several different services including: Reflexology, aromatherapy, healing therapies and deep massage.

Accommodation (6)

Yes, you have a mini cooker, fridge and a kettle with basic kitchen equipment.

Yes there is both a restaurant and a bar where we stay. They cook good, locally sourced Greek/Cretan fresh food with a great selection of wines and cocktails. You have a breakfast/brunch to enjoy daily which is part of your package.

You can pay the single supplement (see pricing) or Gill can try to introduce you to another single traveller, arrange a meeting prior to travelling and if all feels comfortable you could then choose to share a one bedroomed apartment or a twin bed studio.

Yes. Each and every room has a front row view of the sea – stunning.

The apartments have one bedroom, the studios are open plan. All have seperate bathrooms with a hydro shower, air conditioning, kettle, cooker, fridge, small dining area, terrace or balcony. Your space has daily cleaning.

The maximum number of people for a group booking is 14.

Culture (2)

Tips are welcome and we suggest around 5-10%

There is plenty to do and see. Water sports, boat trips, museums, Spinalonga Island, hire cars, walking etc.

The best way of seeing some of the Island is coming on a Culture and Cuisine trip with Andreas as they take you off the beaten track, seeing places of interest, walks, swimming and eat as the sun goes down.

Health (2)

That’s the beauty of having Gill and Andreas with you. They speak the language and their close friend, a doctor and homeopath, is on call. The local hospital is just a few minutes away.

No not at all, the chef at our studios/apartments will accommodate your needs. When dining out plenty of choices are available.

Travel (2)

Yes, Gill is happy to guide and advise on flights. She tries to get all clients arriving approximately at the same time as your transfers are included in your package if you arrive on the specified date and time. Flights tend to cost around £250 but sometimes a bargain can be had! Use Skyscanner alerts to stay updated and your airport in Crete is Heraklion.

Yes – you do need to bring your EHIC card with you. If you don’t have one, you can easily apply at your local Post Office or online here: //www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/startApplication.do

Yes, absolutely, Gill prides herself on her ability to multi level teach therefore this suits both beginners and those with a more experienced practice.
