Online Pilates & breathwork classes · UK wellness days · Retreats in Crete

Getting started.

Four ways to move, breathe and reconnect: live online Pilates classes, online breathwork sessions, one-day wellness days here in the UK, and four- or seven-day retreats in Crete. You can dip into a single class from your living room or step away for a week by the Cretan sea; whatever suits your life right now.

Absolutely. Every class is taught at multiple levels, with modifications offered throughout, so beginners and experienced practitioners move side by side, each at their own pace. If you can get up and down from a mat and you’ve a young-at-heart attitude, you’ll be very welcome.

Yes. We ask everyone to complete a short health screening form before their first class, wellness day, or retreat. It helps us look after you properly and tailor movements to your body. If you have a medical condition or injury, please check with your GP first.

Of course. We’re happy to arrange a Zoom call or a phone chat before you travel, so you can ask anything and arrive feeling completely at ease.

Online Pilates & breathwork classes.

Classes are live via Zoom. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with the class details and your Zoom link. Log in a few minutes before the start with your equipment ready, and Gillian will guide you through in real time. She can see and hear you, just like being in the studio.

No. Each class has its own link, sent in your booking confirmation and reminder emails, and also available through your online bookings account.

Comfortable clothing you can move freely in. Bare feet or grippy socks are ideal.

For most classes, it helps to have a mat, a resistance band, a mini core ball, and a block or firm cushion. Some sessions also use a spiky ball, and a blanket is lovely for the relaxation at the end. You don’t need everything to start. Come as you are and build up.

A clear, level area of at least four square metres, free of any trip hazards, with enough room to stretch out fully in every direction.

Breathwork Classes

  • Single Classes – £5.00.

Pilates classes are one hour. Breathwork classes are 30 minutes. We suggest logging in a few minutes early so everyone can settle without distraction.

You can cancel through the booking system up to 24 hours before your class and move your credit to another session, subject to availability. Classes that have already taken place, and cancellations made after the cut-off, aren’t refunded.

Breathwork is simple, guided breathing led by Andreas to settle the nervous system, quiet the mind and restore a sense of balance. No experience is needed — just somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down.

Gillian has over four decades in movement, Pilates, rehabilitation, and wellbeing, and teaches alongside a highly qualified, fully insured team (all FitPro members). Andreas is an accomplished therapist with 25+ years of practice, leading the breathwork.

Wellness days.

A full, unhurried day of Pilates, breathwork, a mindful nature walk and a nourishing plant-based lunch, in a small, warm group. You’ll leave calmer, lighter and reconnected.

We hold wellness days at Brinkburn in Northumberland and Cucumber Fields in Hatfield. Dates and prices are on each wellness day’s page (currently £145 at Brinkburn and £165 at Cucumber Fields, everything included).

Everything is included: welcome refreshments, a seasonal plant-based lunch, all equipment, and a take-home wellbeing gift. Just bring comfortable clothing, a warm layer for the relaxation, suitable footwear, and a warm layer for the walk.

Crete retreats.

An alternative kind of holiday in Elounda Bay, Crete: daily morning Pilates, breathwork and meditation woven together with Cretan food, culture and genuine connection. A chance to rebalance, build strength and awareness, and come home renewed.

We run four-day and seven-day retreats, from £590 per person. Full pricing by room type and season is on the Pilates Retreats page.

A £300 deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 10 weeks before you travel. Payment plans are available on request.

In short: full refund (less your deposit) if you cancel more than 6 weeks before departure, 50% between 3 and 6 weeks, and no refund within 3 weeks unless we can resell your place. Full details are on our Terms, Conditions & Cancellation Policy page. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance within 14 days of booking, and please do not book flights until you have spoken to us.

Travel insurance is essential. Please arrange it as soon as you book. UK residents should also carry a GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card, which has replaced the older EHIC); you can apply for one free through the official NHS website.

Cash is handy for smaller places, though cards are widely accepted and ATMs are plentiful in town. As a guide, tips of around 5–10% are welcome.

Gillian and Andreas are on hand throughout, speak the language, and have medical contacts on call, with a local hospital just minutes away.

Plenty, if you’d like to explore — boat trips and water sports, museums and historic sites, coastal walks, and car hire to discover more of the island.
